Wisconsin's Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has upgraded the state's new Internet employment site, JobCenterOfWisconsin.com, with improvements that will better connect job seekers and employers searching for skilled workers.

The upgrade lets job seekers create a professional cover letter and complete standard applications. It offers new graphics and other features, including links to employer websites.

DWD Secretary Roberta Gassman said, "Job seekers have more tools available to help them succeed. Employers will find the site more useful as they post job openings and search for job candidates with the skills and experience needed to do the job. Our user-friendly site is free and accessible at all hours of the day."

For employers, the improvements simplify the steps in listing job openings. The upgrade also lets employers provide a link to their own websites, and it adds employer tools to further improve navigation.
