Rhinelander Receives Waterfront Grant

Governor Jim Doyle recently awarded Rhinelander, WI, a $12,000 Wisconsin Waterfront Initiative grant to help the city develop a plan to spur redevelopment of abandoned and vacant waterfront.

The proposed plan will target areas along the Wisconsin River that will provide mixed-use development for residents and visitors.

In August 2007, Gov. Doyle announced his Wisconsin Waterfront Initiative to help communities plan and develop initiatives that maximized the development potential of theirwaterfronts.
