The RD12 series includes the gasoline-powered RD12A and diesel RD12K double drum vibratory rollers. The RD12A has a 20.8-horsepower Honda engine; the RD12K a 21.6-horsepower Kubota. Both have 34.5-inch drums, a front drum centrifugal force of 3,400 pounds, and operating weight of 1.2 tons.

Hydraulic motors are fully recessed, enhancing curb and side clearance. The tapered frame and hood design provides visibility to the drum edges. Water and fuel capacity has been increased over the predecessor.

Water and vibration functions have been integrated into the joystick control. The floor plate pivots to allow service access to engine, hydraulic, and water systems.
