Bomag BW141AD-5, BW151AD-5 Tandem Vibratory Rollers

Sept. 25, 2013

New frame design and a Tier 4 engine mark the improvements in models BW141AD-5 and BW151AD-5 tandem vibratory rollers. Kubota 73.2-horsepower engines power the rollers, which have 59- and 66-inch working widths, respectively. Each unit delivers up to 17,760 pounds of centrifugal force. Operator’s platform now has a working area with more space while still providing all-around views of the drums, asphalt mat and surrounding areas. An adjustable, multiposition seat rotates and slides laterally. ECOMODE system aids the operator in conserving fuel by controlling the engine speed in relation to load, reducing fuel consumption by up to 30 percent, the company says. Crab-steer allows operators to offset the rear drum of the rollers up to 6.7 inches in either direction.
