Over $100,000 Raised For Hospital

September 28, 2010

The 9th Annual Oliver/Hatcher Construction Charity Golf Outing was one for the record books as the charitable organization was able to present its single largest check ever in the amount of $101,000 to the Child and Family Life Department at The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

With the presentation of this year’s check, Oliver/Hatcher’s donations total more than $610,000 in nine years.

The outing took place on September 22 at Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, MI. The combination of great weather, a beautiful course and friends filling up the field helped set the stage for the main event, the evening’s guest speaker, the legendary Mr. Ernie Harwell. He kept the audience captive with many stories and ended his talk with a standing ovation from the crowd.

After the speakers and announcements, a live auction ensued, raising additional monies for the charity.

The day’s winning foursome was the team led by Rick Leach, former University of Michigan and Detroit Tigers player. Leach has signed on to be the guest speaker for the 2009 event.

Oliver/Hatcher is proud to remain the largest supporter of the Child and Family Life Department at Mott Hospital. For additional information regarding Oliver/Hatcher Charities, please contact Paul Oliver or Paul Hatcher at 248-374-1100, or visit www.oliverhatcher.com.
