The AGC of NJ attended the Alliance For Action's Utilities Conference December 5, 2006, at the Premiere Hotel in Princeton, New Jersey.
At the conference, the major utility companies presented about their future capital programs and past expenditures. Highlights included:
- New Jersey Natural Gas plans to spend $70 million in 2007 on infrastructure improvements;
- Verizon intends to spend close to $800 million next year on infrastructure improvements;
- Elizabethtown Gas intends to spend $30 million next year on infrastructure improvements;
- PSE&G intends to spend $3 billion over the next five years on infrastructure improvements;
- New Jersey American Water intends to fund $840 million over the next five years on infrastructure improvements;
- Atlantic City Electric intends to spend $500 million over the next five years on infrastructure improvements.
