Vermeer D6x6horizontal directional drill expands the line. It measures 35.5 inches wide by 115 inches long for maneuverability in tight spaces. It has 550 ft.-lb. of rotary torque and 5,500 pounds of thrust/pullback. Maximum carriage speed is 130 fpm. Total weight of the package, including drill, mud-mixing system, tooling and trailer, is less than 10,000 pounds, so it can be transported easily, the company says. Features include a floating head design, dual stakedowns, and 6-foot sections of drill stem. Engine bay is exposed by opening a single full-length access panel. Estimated list price: $55,000–$62,000.
