Mike is a level two technician for Sarasota County, described as the “go-to” technician when another technician has a complex repair requiring input. His facility maintains more than half the fleets total assets, roughly 725 units.
“Mike has stepped up to run the Ashton shop, which handles both light and heavy equipment, on his own while our shop manager was away on special projects,” says Ron Kennedy, CEM, fleet manager. “He continues to seek professional development training for not only himself, but also for his technicians, which encourages growth across all levels.”
Education: University of Northwestern Ohio.
Professional accomplishments: ASE Master Certification in medium/heavy trucks, school buses, and truck equipment.
Off the clock: My hobby is working on and collecting old Honda motorcycles and vintage golf carts.
Extracurricular: Following Hurricane Michael, I was one of four technicians who volunteered to provide mechanical support on emergency vehicles and equipment from multiple agencies around the country who were dispatched for search and recovery efforts.
