Quest Estimator 7.6 from Maxwell Systems is the company’s newest takeoff and estimating system, which is designed to track all quantities and cost item specifications, providing an audit trail for each job. According to the company, Quest Estimator 7.6 also provides a centralized storage location for historical pricing on each cost item and allows users to create estimate templates within the program containing items they regularly use. It includes proprietary “3-D Visual Assemblies,” — which are detailed computer-takeoff images that enable the estimator to zoom, rotate, see inside, and separate the components of any structure — to help verify all components of a structure are in place. The new estimating program also can be integrated with the company’s American Contractor construction business management solution “to streamline the process from estimate to billing.”
