In an article with the headline "NAWIC Hosts MAGIC Camp" that appeared on page 3 of the September 8, 2008, edition of Michigan Contractor & Builder, it was incorrectly stated that MAGIC Camp is a program of the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC). MAGIC Camp is a NAWIC-sponsored camp and is not owned by NAWIC. A NAWIC chapter must sponsor the camp for it to operate. The camp directors at the July 14–18 MAGIC Camp at Oakland Community College in Farmington Hills, MI, were Melanie Myers, Oakland Community College Construction Management Program coordinator and Lansing NAWIC member; Arlene Frank, Oakland Community College Womencenter director; and Carol Varga, of SG Construction Services and a member of NAWIC Detroit Chapter 183. Kathi Dobson was instrumental in helping to get the camp started and also helped to get NAWIC Detroit Chapter 183 involved.
