Video Captures Concrete Saw Blade Hitting Building

April 2, 2024
The blade broke loose and skipped across a parking lot.

The blade from an operating concrete saw broke loose, traveled across a parking lot, and buried itself in a wooden door jamb moments after a man entered the building.

Security footage from the convenience store in Eugene, Oregon, shows the blade skipping across the pavement, throwing up dust, before it slams into the building inches away from the door that had just closed behind the man. Video from inside the store shows the effect of the impact as the image shakes.

The man, identified by Inside Edition as Shane Reimche, is shown stepping away from the door as he sees the blade heading toward the store.
