Lee Kennedy Co. to Build Parking Garage

Lee Kennedy Co. has begun construction of a three-story, 31,000-square-foot parking garage for St. Luke's Hospital — the New Bedford site of Southcoast Hospitals Group in Massachusetts. The 341-space garage is located on the hospital campus and abuts both a residential neighborhood and a separate, independent nursing home. Lee Kennedy Co. will have the garage open to hospital staff, visitors and patients by March 2009. The company provided extensive pre-construction services to help St. Luke's Hospital get the project off the ground. With construction underway, the team has taken a number of steps to minimize disruption to hospital operations and the surrounding neighborhood. Materials are being stored off site to reduce traffic and maintain hospital access, and the team provides regular updates to keep neighbors informed of heavy construction activities.
