Komatsu PC290LC-11 replaces the Dash-10 version. It is Tier 4-Final certified with a 196-horsepower Komatsu SAS6D107E-3 engine that uses SCR technology. Operating weight ranges from 66,359 to 68,122 pounds. All major components—engine, hydraulic pumps, motors and valves—are designed and produced by Komatsu, which the company says allows it to provide hydraulic efficiency using Variable Speed Matching. Engine speed adjusts to hydraulic pump output.
The new model has guardrails on both sides of the upper structure for easier accessibility compared to the Dash 10. The radiator and hydraulic oil cooler are mounted side by side, making it easier to maintain and service.
It has KOMTRAX telematics, which also monitors DEF levels, ambient air temperatures, and pressures.
