With the rollout of the “super compact” G5-18A model, JLG is offering its smallest telehandler model yet. Measuring 146 inches long by 71 inches wide by 77 inches tall, the telehandler weighs less than 11,000 pounds for both ground-level maneuverability and crane-assisted lift onto higher-level floors. At the same time, powered by an 84-horsepower Perkins engine, the G5-18A has a maximum lifting capacity of 5,500 pounds, and can carry a 1,850-pound load at the fully extended forward reach of 10 feet 10 inches. With a maximum lift height of 18 feet 4 inches, the unit comes standard with three operator-selectable steering modes— 4-wheel circle, 4-wheel crab and 2-wheel steering—and has a turning radius of 126 inches.
