Dexter + Chaney placed 358th on the list, with 2005 revenues of $13.6 million in software and services. The company climbed 40 places over its ranking a year earlier. IBM and Microsoft ranked first and second, respectively.

The ranking is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2005. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware.

New York — The National Equipment Register has launched its Affiliate Dealer Program, which will allow farm and construction equipment dealers and their clients to reduce the risks and costs associated with equipment theft and improve profitability.

The Affiliate Dealer Program combines a number of NER's risk management services into a single package and also allows dealers to resell these services when selling a machine. The package includes equipment registration and marking services, pre-purchase searches of used equipment and a rewards program.

HELPtech and HELPtechDNA are NER's registration and marking products that are already used by hundreds of fleets.

PINcheck is a service that reduces the chances of buying and selling stolen equipment through a search of a database of stolen equipment in North America.

NER Affiliate Dealers are also eligible to join NER's DealerRewards program, through which a reward will be paid to an Affiliate Dealer who alerts NER to a suspicious machine that leads to a recovery.
