The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local officials to mark the start of operations at the facility and announced an open site selection process to identify locations for an additional 10 branches statewide. EquipmentShare said the expansion is expected to create between 250 and 500 jobs, with projected total investment ranging from $350 million to $700 million.
“EquipmentShare’s expansion into Odenton represents exactly the kind of momentum that keeps Central Maryland competitive and growing,” said Dewan Clayborn, president/CEO of the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce, in a statement. “This investment brings new jobs, new opportunities, and a long-term commitment to strengthening our economic landscape. We are proud to welcome EquipmentShare as a partner in building the future of Maryland.”
EquipmentShare said each new Maryland location is expected to generate 25 to 50 jobs, with per-site investment, including equipment, capital improvements, renovations, and first-year salaries, ranging from $35 million to $70 million.
“Contractors in the Northeast are delivering essential work every day,” said Jabbok Schlacks, CEO of EquipmentShare, in a statement. “Opening in these key markets gets our T3 platform and a modern, well-maintained fleet closer to the jobs that matter. It means better visibility, faster service, and more uptime for teams across the Northeast.”
The Odenton branch, located at 1875 Mayfield Road, will operate as a Core Solutions facility, providing local delivery, field service, and on-site support for contractors across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia region.
The location features a fleet of earthmoving, aerial, compaction, and material handling equipment, all equipped with EquipmentShare’s vertically integrated T3 platform. The technology provides real-time asset tracking and utilization data, credentialed access controls designed to reduce unauthorized use and theft, and predictive maintenance alerts aimed at maximizing uptime.
The branch follows EquipmentShare’s technology-first model, activating telematics, access control, and asset tracking at delivery. The company said its T3 platform is original equipment manufacturer agnostic and interoperable across mixed fleets, supporting integration with most major equipment brands. The platform connects EquipmentShare’s Core Solutions, Advanced Solutions for pump, power, and climate control, and Tooling Solutions for calibrated torque, welding, hydrostatic testing, and industrial supplies.
