Operator Suffers Traumatic Injuries in Crane Tip
A crane operator suffered traumatic injuries in an accident on the Oregon Health & Science University campus, according to a report by KXL 101 FM News.
A drill rig on the 100,000-pound construction crane tipped over, pinning the worker inside the cab.
“We understand the operator of the rig, an employee of Pacific Foundation, sustained injuries and is under the care of OHSU,” said Tim Johnson with Skanska Construction, the company in charge of the project.
Skanska, and others, are investigating the incident.
