Boise— Avolve Software, developers of ProjectDox communication and collaboration software, announced today that the state of Idaho will deploy the company's ProjectDox ePlan solution as part of its CAS statewide citizen services initiative.

Through its Division of Building Safety, Idaho becomes the first state in the nation to implement a statewide ePlan service program to citizens and multiple state agencies.

ProjectDox will enhance the CAS program by allowing the state to offer web-based electronic file submission and review to citizens, architects and developers who depend upon the Division of Building Safety for code-compliance review of construction and engineering plans. Key benefits include expedited plan approval and reductions in paper use, printing costs, storage costs, de-forestation, drive-time, gasoline consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions.

The Division of Building Safety envisions making its ePlan services available to other state agencies such as the State Fire Marshal and the Bureau of Homeland Security for the purposes of enhanced disaster response, mitigation and management.
