The RC50 and RC70 soil compactors are 5- and 7-ton single-drum rollers that expand the company’s line. The RC50 has a 54-inch drum widths and compacts with 15,512 pounds of centrifugal force at a rate of 1,800 vpm. The RC70 has a 66-inch drum and 28,100 pounds of centrifugal force. Both use a 73.2-horsepower Kubota engine.
A three-point articulated pendulum joint provides even weight distribution and consistent compaction even while navigating curves or maneuvering along uneven ground, the company says. The drive system allows compaction on slopes up to a 60-percent grade. The rear wheels are driven by independent motors.
