Community Colleges Work to Fill Worker Gap

Policymakers, community college administrators, and private businesses are working together to promote initiatives to fill the gap between demand and availability of workers, according to an article from The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The article describes initiatives such as tuition incentives, paid apprenticeships, and boot camps where specific skills are taught in short periods of time as win-win-win for the colleges, the students, and business.

Ten states have expanded such training programs, according to the article, and they garner bipartisan support.
