Drill Rig Topples in Chicago
A drill rig collapsed outside the Bryn Mawr Avenue Red Line train station in Chicago, stopping commuter trains, damaging power lines, and also forcing the evacuation of a nearby building, CBS2 News reported.
No one was injured, as the operator was able to exit the rig safely.
Chicago Transit Authority Red and Purple line train service was stopped between the Belmont and Howard stations because of the incident, which occurred just before the afternoon commute.
Trains were again stopping at Bryn Mawr by 9 p.m.
