[VIDEO] 10 Pipeline Protesters Lock Selves to Eqpt.
People protesting the environmental impacts of the Mountain Valley pipeline chained themselves to construction equipment and other blockages in Montgomery County Monday morning, WDBJ 7 reported. According to Appalachians Against Pipelines, ten people locked themselves to equipment in the area to protect animals like fish and birds, which the group says are native species threatened by the pipeline.
All ten have since been removed and arrested. The group said there were about 100 protesters in all.
Pipeline work was stopped for more than eight hours during the protest, according to Appalachians Against Pipelines.
