Foxconn has now added a data center and a glass globe auditorium to construction plans for its manufacturing complex in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. According to Milwaukee Business Journal, the plans show a data center with a footprint of 34,250 square feet standing next to the about 100-foot-tall networks operations center globe. The globe includes a 140-seat auditorium, board rooms, and office space.
The company says the data center would attract business partnerships to its Mount Pleasant operations, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal. According to Data Center Knowledge, Foxconn originally submitted plans for the project last month, but withdrew them to “explore additional design options.”
According to Milwaukee Business Journal, the data center is the third major new building Foxconn has proposed in Mount Pleasant this year, alongside the company’s one million square foot LCD fabrication plant.
