T.Sherber Provides Nonprofit Donations to Community

Sept. 19, 2018

The T.Sherber business strategy has always centered around a philanthropic cause, with husband-and-wife team Missy and Trevor Scherber ensuring “giving back” to the local community remains at the forefront of the company. To harness their passion for providing donations to local charities, the Scherbers ensure that for each service they provide, a portion of their fees is donated to a local organization.

From demolition to excavation, the team finds ways to carry out this mission. T.Sherber first began working with Children’s Hospital Minnesota, donating $25 of every service fee and $5 of every dumpster rental. Shortly after, the team’s awareness began shifting toward veterans. The Sherbers eventually connected with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

“These guys do so much for us,” said Trevor Scherber. “We need to do something for them.”

Today, the Scherbers look forward to continuing their charitable mission together through the T.Sherber business.

“When I was quitting my dream job in the nonprofit space and took over the dumpster company to support him starting the excavating company, [Trevor] said ‘I promise you, one day instead of asking for donations with your career, you’ll be giving donations,’” said Missy Scherber. “Within two years we were writing our first check to Children’s, so it was very rewarding.”
