The RT185 Pilot Series compact track loader has a rated operating capacity of 1,850 pounds and an operating weight of 9,160 pounds. It can lift to 83 inches. It is powered by a 69.9-horsepower engine and two-speed hydrostatic drive system.
The loader has a hydraulic pilot-control joystick that gives the operator true one-to-one proportional control over the drive system. The cab is redesigned, with the joystick mounted to the seat, which adds legroom and minimizes arm fatigue during operation.
A custom-designed undercarriage features IdealTrax automatic track tensioning system and HydraGlide ride control. IdealTraxTM ensures proper tension on the tracks upon engine start up and operation, the company says, and releases track tension when the engine is turned off. The feature extends track life up to 15 percent, the company says, and puts less strain on the sprockets and bearings. HydraGlide allows the lift arm to “float” when transporting loads, minimizing loss of material while providing a smoother ride.
