The ER 1500 drum cutter excavator attachment is designed for tunneling, special foundation work, demolition, and soil mixing. It features a dust- suppression system to help meet silica-dust regulations.
At a service weight of 3,858 pounds, the ER 1500 double-head machine is suitable for carriers of 44,000 to 88,000 pounds. The cutter has a rated power of 160 horsepower, a cutting force of 9,100 to 15,700 lb.ft. at 5,000 psi, and a standard cutting-head width of 35 inches with 44 tungsten carbide-tipped picks. The unit’s hydraulic motor drives through a single-reduction gear case to power the drum at a recommended rotation speed of 75 rpm. A central fixing system allows the drum cutter to rotate 360 degrees without having to be disconnected from the excavator. Designed for low-vibration and quiet operation, the ER 1500 can work in sensitive areas. The ER 1500 spray system positions water jets as close as possible to the working area to facilitate the spray reaching the dust-producing area.
