When the hydrostatic D31-22 dozers’ variable speed setting is selected, the operator can adjust ground speed through 20 increments using shift buttons on the travel joystick, or tiller. The Quick-Shift speed selection allows the operator to select three predetermined speed settings to match job conditions.
