Komatsu Successfully Deploys Electric Truck on Trolley Line
Komatsu has successfully operated an autonomous haul truck powered by its trolley assist program.
By connecting haul trucks to an overhead power line during uphill travel, the trolley assist system delivers electric power where it’s needed most, improving energy efficiency and enabling trucks to travel on grade faster when compared to standard diesel models, according to the company.
