Crews began mass excavation for a new Buffalo Bills stadium in Orchard Park, New York, by conducting a test blast at the site. The earthmoving will expose the bedrock, according to a local news report, after which the blasting will break up the rock to allow the excavation to continue.
Listen to John Polka, Vice President of Stadium Development with the Bills, explain the process below.
Polka also explains that the Bills organization has been communicating with nearby residents to keep them informed on the process and timeline. As part of the process, photographs of property were taken in case of damage from the blasting process.
