Construction dealer General Equipment transformed a construction site into a heavy equipment playground for a boy diagnosed with cancer, allowing him to operate real machinery.
Mitch Strehlow, a worker with the company, helped Elias, 8, push dirt around in a bulldozer, and showed him how to operate the blade and handle the controls. Elias' siblings Andy and Annabelle also joined their brother on site.
"(We) let every kid do what they want to do, and that's play in the dirt," Strehlow told WDAY.
