Our latest video covers the new cab, visibility improvements, machine control, and key specifications.

Key takeaways:

  • Redesigned operator station: New N Series Case dozers have new touchscreen displays, customizable controls, and upgraded cab comfort.
  • Expanded machine control: Factory-installed machine control reaches the 650N, with standard EH blade controls across the lineup.
  • Watch the walkaround: Tour the new 850N to see the biggest upgrades.

We’ve been blowing up the tubes and our website with our constant dozer coverage. Now prepare yourself for more. In our latest Construction Equipment video, we take you inside the latest generation of Case N Series dozers. Before you read the specs below, hit play on the video above to see the 850N up close. Jeremy Dulak, product manager for Case Construction Equipment dozers, discusses all three new models — the 650N, 750N, and 850N. The updates focus on visibility, comfort, machine control, and serviceability. The new lineup replaces Case’s M Series mid-size dozers. Here’s what’s changed.

Built on a proven dozer platform

Fleet managers familiar with Case will recognize the same foundation that has made these dozers popular, but operators will notice a much different cab experience. There’s a lot of customization. Operators can now tailor steering, shuttle response, blade controls, travel speed, and engine response to suit the job. EcoMode helps reduce fuel consumption while finishing grading, while automatic idle shutdown cuts unnecessary engine hours. Case has also taken the opportunity to expand its machine control technology across the lineup (factory-installed machine control is a first for the 650N). Also cool: Electro-hydraulic blade controls now come standard on every model.

“One of the things that you will notice right away is we have a new touchscreen display for navigation,” says Dulak in the exclusive CE video above. “We also have an encoder on the right side. So just like in your car, there’s multiple ways to adjust the machine. So you can do it through the encoder or use the touchscreen.”

An operator station designed for long days

The new cab received one of the biggest redesigns in the Case N Series. As mentioned, there’s a new touchscreen display paired with a rotary encoder. Seat-mounted joysticks put major controls closer to the operator, while customizable machine settings allow each operator to configure blade response and machine behavior. Available heated and ventilated seating joins standard heated seat options. Case added sliding side windows, more HVAC vents, additional USB and USB-C charging ports, lockable storage, a dedicated phone holder, and keyless ignition.

“Overall, we’ve really tried to enhance the cab for that operator,” says Dulak in the video. “You will notice we even updated our decel pedal and mounts for your feet.”

Visibility gets an overhaul; reversing fans become standard

Case redesigned the exhaust stack, engine air intake, and machine sweeps to improve forward visibility, and it’s noticeable. The video shows it off perfectly. Engineers also flattened the rear profile to give operators a clearer view behind the machine. Every model includes a rearview camera, while the main display adds ripper position notifications to improve jobsite awareness (so cool).

“We’ve tucked in the rear of the machine,” says Dulak. “So, if you have an attachment like a ripper or a winch, we’ve pulled in the rear about 8 inches. We’ve redesigned the tank, and it has a flat panel design so that rear visibility is a big improvement.”

The larger 750N and 850N also receive a standard reversing hydraulic cooling fan. The system helps keep debris out of the cooling package while reducing manual cleaning during dusty work.
