Compact equipment continues to get electrified. Mini excavators. Compact wheel loaders. And more and more stand-on mini track loaders are joining the battery club. At Conexpo-Con/Agg 2026, we stopped by the Case Construction Equipment booth to check out the industry's newest electric iteration — Case's TL100EV mini track loader. Even better, we recorded a full machine walkaround with Ryan Anderson, product manager at Case Construction Equipment. Enjoy it above.

The video gives you a close look at the machine from the show floor in Las Vegas. You’ll see the controls, the non-marking tracks, the charging setup, and the compact footprint that makes these machines so popular on tight jobsites.

Electric power in the mini track loader category

The TL100EV runs on a 102-volt battery system with 25 kWh of capacity. That battery replaces the diesel engine found in the traditional TL100 platform. Instead of a mechanical drivetrain, the electric version uses three independent electric motors. Two drive the tracks. One powers the hydraulic system. That design separates propulsion from hydraulic attachment demand. The TL100EV offers 1,000 pounds of rated operating capacity and a hinge pin height of 7 feet, 2 inches. That height clears most dumpsters and trailers used on small jobsites.

Electric power also opens doors that diesel machines cannot. Contractors can run the TL100EV in places where noise, ventilation, or emissions are a concern. Think indoor demolition, renovation work, or projects near schools, hospitals, and urban pedestrian zones. Electric machines also offer quiet operation. With no diesel engine, operators can work earlier in the morning, later in the evening, or in sound-sensitive areas. Case expects runtime to fall between three and seven hours, depending on the workload. With an available fast charger, the battery can recharge from empty to full in under two hours.

Case's TL100EV mini track loader is built for tight access

Mini track loaders earn their keep by going places larger machines cannot. The TL100EV keeps that mission front and center. Contractors can choose between two track configurations:

  • 36-in. narrow track for doorways, gates, and backyard access
  • 42-in. wide track for added stability on open jobsites

Case also offers factory non-marking tracks. These tracks reduce marks on finished surfaces like polished concrete, tile, and pavement. Lighting options also support work in dim environments. Boom-mounted lights and a rear strobe improve visibility in basements, warehouses, and partially built structures.

Operator controls and interface updates

The TL100EV uses electro-hydraulic joystick controls instead of traditional pilot systems. A multifunction display allows operators to adjust machine settings on the fly. Sensitivity, hydraulic response, and control behavior can all be customized through the display. Auxiliary hydraulics sit directly on the joystick via thumbwheel controls, reducing the need to move hands around the control station.

Charging options include:

  • J1772 onboard charging connection
  • Single-phase charging setups
  • Three-phase charging setups
  • Offboard fast-charging systems

Attachment versatility still drives productivity

Electric power does not change the core job of a mini track loader. These machines exist to run attachments. The TL100EV keeps that versatility intact. The loader uses the Common Industry Interface (CII) coupler, also known as the mini universal coupler. That system connects the machine to more than 40 compatible attachments. The machine also includes standard auxiliary hydraulics, a case drain, and a 14-pin electrical connector to support multi-function attachments. That means the electric loader can handle the same types of work as its diesel sibling.

Electric equipment keeps moving into smaller machines

Electric construction equipment continues expanding across compact categories. Mini track loaders fit that role perfectly. If you want to see how it all comes together, watch the full TL100EV walkaround video above.
