Replacing the Mega 200, 250 and 500 wheel loaders, models DL200, DL250 and DL500 join the DL300 and DL400 introduced in Spring '06. DL improvements include common rail, electronic Tier 3 engines; communication between engine and automatic transmission; dual-walled exhaust silencer; and centralized remote hydraulic checkpoints and accessible filters/components. The ZF axle is said to maintain a high level of performance because the lower gear speeds provide lower heat generation, which extends component life. The cab features a larger seat, expanded visibility, automatic climate controls, and load-isolation system.
