Ted Edwards, 2008-2009 president of the Construction Professionals Network of North Carolina, has announced that this year's CPN President's Holiday Charity Donation will be made to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, Inc.

The donation, an annual gift of $1,000 from the members of CPN, is given to a worthy cause chosen by the current president. In recent years the donation has been given to the North Carolina National Guard — Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund; the Annual Holiday Cheer Box Drive, which sends more than 8,000 cheer boxes to troops serving overseas; and the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to the children of servicemen and servicewomen who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country.
