Crane Mishap Shuts MTA Bridge in New York

Two workers suffered minor injuries.

The boom of a crane mounted on a rail car struck the Broadway Bridge in New York City. The crane was part of a maintenance train working on the elevated section of the No. 1 line, according to a report by the NY Daily News.

The train operator and the crane operator were taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries.

The crane become lodged in the bridge structure, closing it to MTA traffic.
