The V723 VersaHandler expands the line of telehandlers, having a maximum rated lift capacity of 7,700 pounds, maximum lift height of 22 feet 10 inches, and an operating weight of 17,155 pounds. The new model uses a side-mounted, 100-horsepower Bobcat diesel engine incorporating a combustion chamber designed to minimize particulate matter and to meet Tier 4 emissions standards without a diesel particulate filter. The V723 features three-mode steering (front, coordinated, crab) and three travel modes, including a two-speed option, inching control, and travel speed adjustment independent of engine speed. The Bobcat Power Quick-Tach attachment-mounting system is standard.

The V723’s radiator, oil cooler, and intake-air coolers are mounted side by side to facilitate efficient cooling, and an automatic reversing fan is designed to assist in keeping the coolers clean. Fan reversal is initiated with a button push, or, automatic reversal can be set to occur at 30-, 45-, 60-, or 90-minute intervals. Other features include a rust-free polypropylene fuel tank; shutdown-protection system that monitors engine coolant, hydraulic oil, and engine oil; battery-rundown-protection system; and optional window guards.

Operator comfort/convenience features include a ride-control system and a hydraulic cushioning system designed to provide a smoother motion when the attachment reaches maximum/minimum pitch or when the boom reaches full retraction. The patented “asymmetric” cab, with wraparound rear window and split door provides, is designed to provide 360-degree visibility. The enclosed cab, with heat and air conditioning, is standard for V723, and the joystick controller allows several functions, including travel direction, lift/tilt, boom extension, and auxiliary-hydraulics control. (Auxiliary system provides a flow of 26.4 gpm). A three-way adjustable suspension seat is standard.
