The Z-45 XC articulated-boom aerial work platform is the “Xtra Capacity” version of the Z-45/25 J RT. The lift features the XC dual-envelope design, which provides an unrestricted platform capacity of 660 pounds and a restricted capacity of 1,000 pounds.

The Z-45 XC has a maximum working height of 51 feet 6 inches, maximum horizontal outreach of 24 feet 9 inches, and an up-and-over clearance of 24 feet 7 inches. It has the full-time, positive-drive traction system and an updated oscillating axle system that is designed to enhance the machine’s “terrain-ability” in rough terrain and on slopes, providing up to 45-percent gradeability. The unit can be driven at full height with up to a 660-pound load.

The Z-45 XC uses a Deutz D2.9L4 48-horsepower engine and features a tight turning radius, zero tail swing, self-leveling platform with 160-degree hydraulic platform rotation, and rough terrain tires. To increase performance, decrease calibration time, and improve overall productivity, says Genie, the new model also features the ability to do zero-load field calibration and is equipped with a load-sense cell that continuously checks the weight in the platform and adjusts the allowable range of motion to match the load chart.

The Z-45 XC also features the Genie Lift Power generator system, which uses a dedicated hydraulic circuit to power an onboard generator without interfering with lift and drive functions. The Lift Power system is available in three options, 3-kW, 7-kW, and 12-kW configurations.
