The International Code Council is launching a series of free overview webinars on the 2009 I-Codes, especially valuable to many in the industry who face tight budgets that restrict or eliminate training and travel expenditures.

Each webinar runs almost one hour and provides an overview of the code. The webinars cover the most significant changes between the 2009 and 2006 editions of the codes, and provides viewers with a technical overview of the new code. The 2009 International Building, Residential, Fire, Plumbing, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes are included in the no-cost webinars.

"Building departments, architects, engineers, designers, contractors and just about everyone in the construction industry is hurting in this economy," said Code Council CEO Rick Weiland. "Despite the economy, the public benefits of building safety should not and can not suffer. That’s why we are offering these webinars for code users at no cost."
