Centex Progresses on Vornado/Charles E. Smith Office Project in Washington DC

Sept. 28, 2010

Centex Construction has reached substantial completion of the demolition phase of its 2101 L Street, NW office project for Vornado/Charles E. Smith in Washington, D.C. The selective demolition involved removing the existing building's front exterior and gutting the existing 300,000-square-foot, 10-story building down to the concrete structure. The next phase of the $33-million project involves building the MEP systems, new shuttle elevator, fitness center, and elevator lobbies and refinishing the parking garage.
