The Cedarapids CR662RM RoadMix is a combination material transfer vehicle and asphalt paver. The unit has a ground contact pressure of 21 psi when fully loaded. According to BOMAG, the integrated unit does not cause rutting on the base layer, can cross bridges fully loaded, and can be transported like a 10-foot paver.

The unit has a 260-horsepower Tier 4-Final Cummins engine and has throughput capacities of 600 tons per hour. The Remix Anti-Segregation System delivery augers have hard-faced back sides for wear life. Two sets of two variable-pitch, counter-rotating augers uniformly draw down material to provide 100 percent revix of the asphalt. Auger pitch spacing transitions from 10 inches at the front of the hopper to 12 inches at the rear channel material to the transfer conveyor or screed.

The operator’s seat pivots beyond the machine’s side for unimpeded track visibility, and the console pivots to line up with the seat. A sloped engine hood provides a sightline to the hopper.

When equipped as an MTV, the unit’s 30-inch-wide conveyor offers a discharge height of 73.2 to 115.8 inches for noncontact paving and swivels 55 degrees left or right of center for off-set paving.

For mainline paving, it can be equipped with either the Stretch 20 or Fastach 10 screed and is capable of paving at widths reaching up to 30 feet.
