Cannon Trail Recognized

The Michigan Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers recognized the Cannon Township Trail with its 2008 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Honorable Mention Award.

The 19,000-foot-long scenic trail connects Cannon Township Hall and Townsend Park.

The Prein&Newhof team routed the trail through meadows, woodlands, pine forests, and wetlands. The trail also includes wooden boardwalks over wetlands and low-lying areas, a viewing area, and a bridge over Armstrong Creek.
