Nov. 5, 2019

The Boring Co., Elon Musk's tunneling venture, is set to start work on an underground people mover at the Las Vegas Convention Center this month.

According to the local NBC television station, the tunnel machine is 40 feet underground, ready to start. The news outlet reports the project will provide three passenger stations across the West Hall, with two tunnels about a mile long. (Ongoing construction of the addition can be viewed on its live stream.)

Scheduled for completion in 2021, the report says the system could expand to other areas in the city, including the airport.

Although the tunnel system will not be useful for getting around Conexpo 2020, the Show has produced a video with with transportation options next year.
