I had the great honor and pleasure of presenting the 2013 Fleet Masters Awards this week during the AEMP Annual Conference in Jacksonville, Fla. The winners were Bechtel Equipment Operations and Manatee County (Fla.) Fleet Services. (Pictured, from left: myself, Bob Hall and Ken Burke, CEM, Bechtel; Rick Blesi, Construction Equipment publisher; and Mike Brennan, CEM, Manatee County.)
The FleetMaster Award was created more than 10 years ago through a partnership between Construction Equipment and AEMP in an effort to recognize excellence in fleet asset management. It was designed to bring attention and recognition to equipment professionals and their teams. These professionals excel in meeting the unique challenges in delivering cost-effective management of mixed fleets of on and off-road equipment.
Fleet Master winners can take this honor to the bank...literally. As they bid jobs, work with their organization’s leadership team, and build community relations, the Fleet Master Award stands as testament to the quality not only of the fleet, but also to its financial, environmental and safety standards.
