HydraCX2® Cotton Fiber Reinforced Matrix, the first product from North American Green's new HydraMatriCx® series of hydraulically applied erosion control products, has been recognized by Better Roads as one of the 50 Top Rollouts for 2007.

HydraCX Fiber Reinforced Matrix is well suited for controlling erosion and revegetating steep roadside slopes. Since its introduction in mid-2007, it has already gained acceptance by numerous Departments of Transportation nationwide. The cotton hydromulch product is manufactured exclusively for North American Green by Centre, Ala.-based Mulch & Seed Innovations, LLC.

Developed in cooperation with the USDA and Cotton Incorporated, HydraCX2 Cotton Fiber Reinforced Matrix is proven to help establish seed and grow grass fast. Research was conducted by the Department of Agronomy at Auburn University, Ala., and the USDA Agricultural Research Station, Lubbock, Texas. In addition to being 100 percent natural and nontoxic, it adds key nutrients to the soil and requires less water during application. With one-step application and instant agitation, HydraCX2 Cotton Fiber Reinforced Matrix saves time and money.

The 50 Top Rollouts for 2007 were selected from more than 500 new product introductions and published in the December 2007 issue of Better Roads. Every year, the editors of Better Roads review all product introductions from the past year to identify the top 50 products with the greatest significance to highway and bridge professionals.
