Baker Concrete Receives Award

Monroe, OH— Baker Concrete Construction, based in Monroe, received the 2008 Golden Trowel Award at this year's World of Concrete in Las Vegas, NV. The award, presented by Face Company, recognizes concrete contractors for installing "the flattest and most level floors in the world."

Baker received the award in the Special Category for the installation of the ZMax Dragway in Concord, NC. The project required more than 55,000 square feet of concrete drag strip, and required an extremely smooth and level surface.

Since the recognition began in 1989, Baker has won nine Golden Trowel awards and two Silver Trowel Awards.
