Founded by his father in 2003 out of his home, Gray and Sons has expanded and is now able to provide employees with full benefits, insurance, and retirement plans. The company also owns a sand pit and rock quarry. Alex works as project manager, estimator, and operator.
Education: Associate’s degree, general studies.
Professional accomplishments: As a teen, Alex began helping his dad and learning the importance of hard work, team work, and honest work. Alex plays an integral role of cultivating the family business by training new employees. A recently built state-of-the-art shop allows the company to maintain and store equipment inside.
Off the clock: Boating, wakeboarding, wakesurfing on the Nottaway River with my wife, kids, and golden retriever.
Extracurricular: We give back to the community, whether it’s donating sand to playgrounds, clay to ball fields, or sponsoring various organizations. I am a lieutenant at the Courtland Volunteer Fire Department.
