The Associated Builders and Contractors of America (ABC) has reached a milestone by hitting the 25,000-member mark. The organization has 79 chapters across the U.S.
ABC's member companies work primarily in the commercial and industrial sectors of the construction industry.
This is the 15th time in 16 years that the association's membership has grown, and its membership has increased 35 percent over the last 10 years.
Associated Builders and Contractors was launched in a Baltimore, MD, living room in 1950 by seven construction contractors who shared the belief that projects should be awarded based on merit to the most qualified and responsible low bidders.
