Vermeer RTX250 rubber-tracked, steerable trencher has a 27-horsepower Kohler electronic fuel injected gas engine. The trencher digs 8-inch-wide trenches up to 48 inches deep. Two-handlebar VZ steering system operates the trencher, and it has a dedicated platform. The trencher is 35.5 inches wide. The EFI engine offers lower fuel consumption, easier maintenance, improved starting due to the elimination of the choke, and cleaner emissions, according to Vermeer.
