A self-propelled compost turner that utilizes patented elevating-face technology, the Vermeer CT1010TX can process between 2,500 and 4,000 cubic yards of compost per hour, depending on the type of material and moisture content, says the company. The elevating face lifts and tumbles compost material, reducing degradation and introducing more oxygen into the compost pile. Equipped with either vanes for windrows or a 48-inch-wide conveyor for continuous-stack configurations, the CT1010TX can turn a stack up to 10 feet in width and 9 feet in height. The SmartTrack control system monitors elevating-face pressure and will slow or even stop the ground drive when a predetermined pressure level is achieved. The tractor’s climate-controlled cab provides a clean work environment and dual joysticks control machine functions.
