Vermeer Survey While Boring (SWB) Mud Motor

Sept. 28, 2010

The 5.5-inch Survey While Boring (SWB) Mud Motor has an up-front transmitter that gives the operator the current location of the bit in the bore path. SWB's low-flow, high-torque design provides a 1-to-1 ratio of flow to rpm to increase bit life and penetration rates. It supports a variety of the company's Navigator HDDs. Operating flow is 1,800 ft.-lbs. Minimum and maximum flow rates are 40 and 170 gpm, respectively. Operators can remove the complete motor from the hole in case of backoff or breakage.
